| Crappies were biting. |
We fished Friday thru Monday.
Sunny/partly cloudy most of the days.
Rain during the day and night on one.
80's
Water temp was 74-75 degrees
Light to moderate wind. Calm at night.
I didnt do as much fishing as I should have. Most of the fish were cought off of our dock off to the left just outside the pads. Crappies were biting towards sundown. The size was good or better than average. Crappie minnows or chubs. Larger ones worked better.
We trolled a little and got an ocassional northern using spinnerbaits. More Rockbass were cought than normal. And a Northern was cought too.
Reports of boats sitting just in the opening of the channel of the other side of the lake catching walleyes. Im guessing it was in about 13ft of water after I scouted it out one night. I sat there for about 10 minutes after sundown but the bugs were too bad to keep sophia sane. No bites.
We also tried a small lake off of a road on the other side of 38. Linden Lake. All we cought were small bass. They were all very shallow along downed timber. About 12 were cought. Im not sure the lake has enough food to grow these over time. It may be a good idea to check back in a year or two to see if they grew. Don had stocked it a while back. Maybe panfish would be a good idea to throw in there too? Max depth in this one is about 8-10ft. Sunken island in the middle.
